Mostly, its amount is a factor of 0.43 paisa per unit. You can calculate it by using this formula. For example, if you have consumed 100 units, then their value will be as follows:
FC Surcharges= No. Units of Electricity * 0.43
FC Surcharges= 100 units* 0.43 = 43 rupees

After every three months of a financial year, LESCO adjusts the tariff under the instructions provided by NEPRA.

How can I check LESCO Load shedding Schedule?
Load shedding duration varies according to your area and weather conditions, so keep updating yourself by checking the LESCO load shedding schedule daily to manage your daily routines quickly.
Mainly, load shedding occurs for the following reasons: WAPDA’s insufficient electricity generation capacity and its inadequate capacity to meet consumer demand.
Sometimes, maintenance issues are the reason behind long hours of power failure. Maintenance tasks include repairs to power plants and grid stations and installing new infrastructure.
Fuel shortages may also be another reason for this condition. Weather conditions like storms, hurricanes, and heat waves can also disrupt the power supply.
Load shedding also helps to prevent system overload. Heavy use of electricity during peak hours may overload the power station, which may cause severe damage to the structure.
